I’m so ᴼᵛᴱᴿ ᴵᵀ! That’s what I use to say about my ADHD! I was done being controlled by it. I just wanted something to help me focus and I didn’t want to have to take a pill every 4 hours. 🤮 What could I do? I want to give up on everything and let my ADHD win! This shake came into life during the time I was feeling like this. I didn’t even think about it helping my ADHD! I just heard wonders and figured I would try it. This shake new I needed it and came into my life at a time I was at my low. Things come into our lives for a reason! No one said anything about this being one of those healthy vacations.. . There was a seed in of these and though others around us will deny it, I nearly choked to death.. . The usual near death experience ensued, wherein I find myself in the filming of “All That Jazz”, and Bob Fosse is screaming at me about how I’m no Liza Minnelli. For some reason I always find myself arguing with him about that notion. Odd.. . Moral of the story: No more fresh fruit, ever.. .

Whenever people find out that I'm a yoga teacher 9/10 times they say "Oh, so, you can do handstands and all that stuff right". . Yeah, totally, of course, I can... . I forgot that I made a goal earlier in the year to handstand, #adhdproblems 🤦🏻‍♀️. Yesterday I showed @amyjyoga a video of my progress; Amy said I need some work. Stay tuned for videos of me doing prescribed drills by the handstand master herself which leads to me falling on my face. This is why I should wait until the morning extended release pills kick in before I do anything important, like set alarms, and pack important pills for the day at the beach.. . Fortunately, today, I had some quick release with me and didn’t have to spend the day driving while unmedicated, which can be dangerous for those in the car with me and people on the sidewalks around us..

@neurofeedbackperth has an excellent point here. At what point does the price become too high? A lifetime of anxiety is too high a price. 1) Keep reminding yourself that it probably didnt go as badly as you think. You have RSD and you know your brain exaggerates. So you know 100% chance that it wasnt as bad as you think. . 2) Reframe the event. Your RSD makes you think of the event in a certain negative way. So forcibly reframe it. Look at it from other perspectives. . 3) Think of all the things you did right. Sounds simple but thinking about the positives can help you calm down. . 4) Talk to the other. RSD is about perceiving rejection or criticism. So talk to the other party. •ADHD & No Sleep• 🛏Who else struggles with this?? 😴 From “Restless leg syndrome” to a constant buzzing mind 🤯 sleep may seem impossible at times. Even though us ADHDers may be sleepier during the day time, that doesn’t mean we’ll fall right asleep during bed time! 😖 And for those of you who don’t know what restless leg syndrome is, it’s basically where a person (usually having ADHD) tends to feel the need to CONSTANTLY move their legs and/or ankles/feet. 🦵🏼I am one to admit that I have this 🤘 Aand it sucks and really annoys my boyfriend at night. 😂 In the day time it’s not as bad because I’m already constantly walking. But at night literally I’m moving my feet back and fourth until I fall asleep 😅 And THEN once I actually fall asleep, I wake up about two hours later because I have to pee or my dream was too vivid that it scared me awake 😱For real though. I have #nightterrors too, and let me tell you those suckers are BIT***S 😫 But that’s what you get when you have an overactive adhd mind 🤷‍♀️ And you aren’t alone if you’re included in this! A study mentioned in WebMD talks about how 67% of people with ADHD have admitted to struggling with sleep problems their whole lives 🤦🏼‍♀️Soo how to cope? Let’s be 💯 real, THC will knock you out and you’ll sleep like a baby all night! (If you have enough of it-and you can vape it, eat it, or drink it now a days!) BUT for those who are uncomfortable with that route 🚫🆘 I HIGHLY suggest drinking #yogitea bed time tea 🍵 practicing easy yoga 🧘‍♀️ poses before bed time, exercising 🏃‍♀️ reading 📖 (if you hyperfocus before bed long enough usually your mind will give out & you’ll fall fast asleep 💤) #hyperfocus by doing something you love! Like painting, singing, music, art, etc! For those who haven’t seen my story today, I took my kids to the grocery store (fun fun!?) and they have been learning how to read labels and check for some of the most harmful ingredients that are lurking in things most people have NO clue about. I want them to know about these things now so that they can really start understanding how our bodies react to everything that is put in or on it. ▪️ I realize people think we are crazy. I see the looks we get at the store. But maybe you are like me - I used to think that if something was sold on the shelf, surely it’s safe. “They” would never sell millions of people something harmful. Right?? Sorry, it’s just not true. ▪️ My daughter asked if she could get some gum, so I told her if she could find some without Aspartame, (a toxic, artificial sweetener that is in most “sugar free” products as well as things like “diet” soft drinks) I would let her get it. I already knew she wouldn’t find one, but I think it was a good learning experience for her to read all those labels and see how prevalent this harmful substance is. Did you know that aspartame accounts for over 75% of the adverse reactions to food additives reported to the FDA? Many of them are very serious, And aspartame can also trigger or worsen certain illnesses. I’m not going to lecture you on it, but I would encourage you to do your research. ▪️ For us, we will stick with Doterra’s slim and sassy gum that does not contain aspartame and only uses natural sweeteners like Stevia. ▪️ This stuff is just so important to us. So when I am trying to get myself out of an emotional slump, I should physically perform some small action - to show my brain that I am capable. Here is my challenge to you: As you go through your day and you notice you are #procrastinate -ing stand up and physically pick up the object. Many people don’t know this unless you really know me and somehow have gotten me to open up but When I was 4 years old I was diagnosed with fairly severe ADHD, and when I was younger there wasn’t really much for Kids like me. No one to help guide me or my parents on how to deal with It. ADHD is a a behavioural disorder that includes symptoms such as inattentiveness, hyperactivity and impulsiveness. It’s more common in kids and more so in boys than girls. As a child I found it very hard In School. I had no one to help me, no one who understands me and how my brain works and I often got bullied because of it when I was younger. I eventually would just sit in the back of the class and not do my work as I didn’t know how to do it but also because I was scared to get made fun of for getting it wrong. I would then also get into trouble as I couldn’t control my temper and behavior in and out of school and changed school quite a bit. This is were golf came in. Golf was like my peace. I could go to the range and not have to worry about other people. I could go for hours and be alone and free to just hit balls and forget about everything else. To be able to have the chance to be an Ambassador for the ADHD foundation is amazing. I want to be able to tell My story and help create awareness for ADHD and help people like me. The help I didn’t have when I was younger. It’s a real struggle for kids with ADHD but now with groups like the ADHD foundation there is help for people like me. I will be 1 of 5 ambassadors for the foundation and the youngest they’ve ever had!! I was about to scroll through my phone to look for a perfectly posed picture to share today since I don’t feel well enough to make myself look nice. You know, my page has to be perfect… because that’s what you do on social media, right? ugh. As authentic as I try to be, I still get caught up in the picture perfect life... but what I realized throughout this whole thought process was that I AM living my perfect life. I just am not taking the time to stop and appreciate it. Let’s make a quick list of some things I have now that I have been working so hard to for… Jordan and I have a loving marriage. I WORK FOR MYSELF! We own a home together. I no longer rely on food stamps. I don’t have to drive to a job everyday that I hate. My dogs get the love and attention they deserve. I am not depressed every moment of every day. I can fill my tank up full every time I need gas. Need I say more? I remember a time when NONE of these things were true. I’m working hard for that girl. This is my work space today… and I am CHOOSING to be here. Even on my “sick days.”
