Top Nine Instagram Posts • It's that time of year again where I continuously say thank you for all of the appreciation and adoration you show for my account. Thank you. Thank you. And...thank you! • 120,200 likes this year (which is absurdly ridiculous) amongst all my posts with a few records broken as well. Finally reached 500 likes on one post (again, how the hell!?). Exceeded 2,000 followers. Reviewed over 900 films. And recently have been made an Amazon influencer. Absolute madness, would never expect my account to grow so much and that is all down to you guys. You all push me into reviewing films, even when I seriously cannot be bothered. Your genuine love as a community is simply inspiring, and easily some of the most welcoming people I know. • Taking a look at the top posts, it's clear that the photos of the shelves and collection garner the most interest. Two 'Top 8' lists made the cut, the 1994 birth year post and the purchase of 'Blade Runner 2049' in 4K (y'all have good taste). • Once again thanks to everyone for sticking by my account for another year, and I hope you stay onboard for the year to come. Merry Christmas! • #topnine #2018 #bluray #bluraycollection #collection #dvd #film #movie #instagram #account #like #post #top #shelves #list #thankful #appreciation #follow #nine #movieaddict #cinephile #critic #filmbuff #tuesday #christmas #year

This film unfortunately makes a lot of the same mistakes that plagued Spider-Man three, throwing in way too many characters and plot lines that the script cannot balance. However unlike Spider-Man 3, this film doesn’t give any of its villains a proper motive, which is why I enjoy Spider-Man 3 a lot more than this installment. This only hinders the lack of development from the first movie that only drags the central characters to a complete stop with no breathing room to grow. On top of this, this film decides to throw in a lot of new characters with such intense backstories that never received the proper build up for the audience to care. An example of this is Harry Osborne’s ridiculous storyline about a disease that he inherits from his family that requires Spider-Man’s blood to cure it. Harry as a character was never hinted on or mentioned in the first film, so this plot has no time to fully develop to allow the audience to become invested. Jamie Foxx’s electro is a terrible antagonistic, his motivations often resembles that of an obsessed fan boy rather than a truly menacing villain that doesn’t challenges the hero. On top of this the Green Goblin is such a wasted opportunity and was only shoved into this film for the purpose of Gwen’s abrupt death. To sum this all up, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 suffers from an invohesive story, too many plot lines and too much screen time spent setting up a sequel that failed to make it to the big screen. There are many issues I have with this film and if I went into all of them this review would be extremely long 😂 as for positive things, the chemistry between Garfield and stone still shines and the unfortunate death of Gwen Stacey was acted and filmed beautifully and is the only emotional beat of the film that hits home. in short, I really don’t recommend these two films, and highly suggest sticking to the Rami Trilogy or Marvels incarnation of the beloved character. 🕸🕷 #theamazingspiderman2 #markwebb #andrewgarfield #emmastone #jamiefoxx #danedehaan #action #superhero #filmbuff #film #moviereview #hollywood #hollywoodcinema #commentbelow #follow #cinema #australia #movies

Show : Trust Created by : Simon Beaufoy On Hotstar . • It's a pretty great show. Danny Boyle directed a bunch of episodes of this and you sort of really get hooked to this pretty crazy story. There was a movie on the same event called "All the money in the world" which isn't nearly close to this. It's fast paced and there's some highly stylized editing and gimmicks that's pretty fun to watch. Also Brendan Fraser sort of made a come back with this. Hilary Swank and Donald Sutherland are also pretty great. Rather than a show, it's more like a 10 hour movie so watch with that intention. Mostly it's unbelievable that such a thing actually happened. . . . . . . . . • #trust @hotstar #hotstar #brendanfraser #hilaryswank #donaldsutherland #recommended #filmcommunity #recommendwatch #showrecommendation #bingewatching #movielover #filmbuff #moviebuff #tvshows #filmlover #tv

Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle (2018) 5.1/10 ➖ Overall, Mowgli is much darker version of The Jungle Book tale than what many people would have grown up with. The film manages to bring stunning visuals and style for a Netflix film. Its biggest let down is that the film's pacing and overall dark style can make the movie feel slightly messy and in the end makes this film ultimately forgettable. The film also aims for child- like moments but then becames rather dark which really surprised me. It's almost as if the film was unsure as to what it wants to be and wasn't sure who would be watching it. 💢CHECK OUT THE FULL REVIEW ON FACEBOOK💢 . . . #moviereview #cinephile #bluray #cinephilecommunity #filmcritique #finessemoviereviews #movielover #moviecritic #filmcritic #moviebuff #filmbuff #filmlover #filmreviews #film #moviereviews #reviews #filmreview #nowshowing #movies #cinema #critic #movieposters #moviepremiere #movielovers #mowgli #netflix #andyserkis #christianbale #mowglilegendofthejungle

Ed Helms leads an all star cast about six overly competitive guys who go overboard playing tag once a year. 'Tag' is a really fun comedy-drama to sit through, these guys get into some really absurd (in a good way) situations playing the game, but, more importantly, the cast gelled really well and gave us a couple of really endearing friends that make up the heart of the film. A movie that is celebration of friendship. ✔✔✔✅✅ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ #tag #edhelms #jakejohnson #hannibalburess #jonhamm #jeremyrenner #islafisher #jefftomsic #comedy #movies #moviebuff #movielover #moviereviews #moviereview #movieopinions #films #filmbuff #filmreviews #filmreview #ilovefilms #ilovemovies #movienight #movienight🎬 #tonightsmovie #nowwatching #moviegram #filmstagram

"Green Book" is undoubtably the most Oscar baity film of the year but that doesn't diminish the fact that it's also the most feel good movie of the year as well. Based on a true story, the film follows African American piano player Don Shirley during his tour of the Deep South in the 1960's and the friendship that formed between him and his driver/bodyguard Italian nightclub bouncer Tony Vallelonga in the midst of severe racial tension. Directed by Peter Farrelly who's made a career out of creating some of the funniest comedies of the past two decades, this film was nothing short of hilarious at times but the film also knew when to pull back when the time was right. Although both of the main characters were a bit cliche, both Viggo Mortensen & Mahershala Ali give fantastic performances in their roles and their chemistry was believable and heartfelt from the minute they shared the screen until the minute the film ended. Through a true story of incredible friendship, the film plays around with several racial themes including stereotyping and cultural appropriation and it does so with a soft and often subtle approach which worked at times but also lead to the films biggest fault. There were moments when I wanted to film to deliver a big punch but it felt like Farrelly was a bit conservative in his approach to drama which caused the film to miss a few opportunities for greatness. Nevertheless, if you take "Green Book" for what it is, there's no doubt that you will have a hell of a good time and absolutely fall in love with both of the characters on screen. I highly recommend checking this film out and it'll be interesting to see how many of the five Golden Globes nominations it will take home. Movie Challenge Day 2 of 52: An Inspirational movie. I choose Gravity. I mean come on whether you think the film is overrated or not I still think it’s inspiring because it shows just how strong the strength of the human spirit is. The will power we have to live and not perish. Sandra Bullock’s character is thousands of miles away from home in the vast emptiness of space and does not give up. She finds the courage and strength to get herself home.

Someone help me understand why Australia takes pride in all Aussies working in Hollywood, even taking ownership of New Zealanders, yet Elizabeth Debicki isn’t a household name? #widows is further proof that she is one of the best working actresses out there, Australian or not.
