Today was a good day in an otherwise rough week 😌. Weights felt great, energy levels were high, and was mentally sharp and focused. Definitely happy with how this session went, and it set the tone for the rest of the day. Vid 1: Ayy....ya boy is actually making progress on his baby weight bench 🙏😩. 185lbs/84kg for a rather smooth 8.5RPE single. Definitely had 190lbs@9 in the tank. I'll take it, considering I hit 180@9 2 weeks ago and that attempt was roughly 1.5 seconds slower than the one in the vid. Moving forward, step by step. Vid 2: Z-Press 🤤😋. Please don't h8 on da w8. This was my 4th pressing exercise of the day and my upper body is already weaksauce. Hate on my my snap city wrist position, chicken bobbing head motion 🐔, and goofy bracing "technique" instead. Real talk though, this is probably my favorite upper body exercise period. Great as an accessory, and is the most strict shoulder press you can do. 🍑LOW BAR SQUATS 195kg 🍑 . Today was 195kg x 24reps in sets of 3-5 with only 1.45min rest between sets. . I did.... . Vid1: 195kg x 4 (last and probably best set) Vid2: 4sets 195kg x 5 (4th set) Vid3: 3sets 210kg x 6 halted deads. . When I find the right low bar position like I did on the final set, weight honestly feels effortless, I’m happy with this considering how stiff I felt in warm ups. This would be a volume pb with this weight too. . Using the leg drive cue I spoke about the other day, made even the dreaded halted deadlifts feel easier today! . Big thanks to @cro_sensei and @tborninkhof for their help today! . Very happy with squats at moment, have a great weekend! 😊 . .
